Learn how to add the Confidence agent to a Slack channel so it can post notifications and answer questions when mentioned.

## Add Confidence to Channel

**1. Go to the Slack channel**

In Slack, go to the channel where you want Confidence to post notifications or answer questions.

**2. Add the app**

Type `/add`, select **Add apps to this channel**, and select **Confidence** from the list.

## Ask Questions or Receive Notifications

To ask a question, mention `@Confidence` in the channel. See [Use Confidence in Slack](/docs/guides/use-confidence-in-slack.md) for examples and workspace selection.

Adding the app doesn't subscribe the channel to resource activity.
To receive updates, [create an activity feed](/docs/platform/notifications/create-activity-feed.md) or [configure surface notifications](/docs/capabilities/surfaces/configure-surface-notifications.md).
