**Create a Surface**

Learn how to create a surface to organize experiments.

A [surface](/docs/capabilities/surfaces/overview) is a logical representation of some part of your app or website, under which you can organize experiments.

## Create a Surface

**1. Go to Surfaces**

Go to Confidence and select **Surfaces** on the left sidebar.

**2. Click Create**

Click **+ Create** to create a new surface.

**3. Configure the surface**

Give the surface a name, a description, and an owner. Click **Create**.
